With a love for travel and far-off destinations, Yen and Philip had dreamed of a wedding that would possibly take them and their guests to the countryside of Italy or a romantic villa in France. Ultimately, they chose the beautiful and historic Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills for its formal English garden, Italian cypress tree-lined walkways and distinctive architecture. In many ways it had the feeling and magic of a destination wedding in Europe, while still staying relatively local.
Set in the Summer, the sunshine was endless and the garden roses were in full bloom, making the estate extra lovely and inviting. Yen wore a custom beaded Inbal Dror gown, while Phillip donned a bespoke Johnathan Behr suit. Even the couple’s dog, Tupac, was ready for the special occasion.
Fusing old-world glamour and Yen’s Vietnamese traditions, the couple chose classic white and black design details with pops of vibrant red. And a fun, personal touch? Yen and Phillip performed a choreographed tango to a remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” to kick off the night of dancing.
